Heart of Sumter is a recognized 501 (c) 3 dedicated to improving community life, especially for the children and youth of Sumter County, GA. The organization is focused on expanding opportunities for children and youth in our county.

How We Contribute

We partner with weeklong summer camps such as Grace Camps and Stitch in Time day camp.

Heart of Sumter assists in expanding youth literacy with Read to Grow free weekly tutoring at Lake Blackshear Library.
Our volunteers also provide free weekly classes in English as a Second Language, offered to the community at no cost since 2023.

Heart of Sumter has awarded scholarships to local students participating in the Luxe Junior Miss Development Pageant.

Our organization offers an added touch to enhance the holidays, making Christmas special for children and families in need.
