Heart of Sumter is a recognized 501 (c) 3 dedicated to improving community life, especially for the children and youth of Sumter County, GA. The organization is focused on expanding opportunities for children and youth in our county.

    FOUNDER

    With a vision for building something meaningful, our founder brings a blend of big-picture thinking and hands-on experience.
    They set the tone for everything we do.

  • Emmett Marsh

    SALES MANAGER

    Focused, approachable, and driven by results, our sales manager is all about building strong relationships. They help connect people to the right solutions—with clarity and care.

  • Eleanor Parks

    MARKETING DIRECTOR

    Creative and strategic in equal measure, our marketing director brings fresh ideas to every campaign. They turn insights into action and help our message resonate with the right audience.

    CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER

    Friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, our customer service manager ensures every interaction is a positive one. They keep communication clear, timely, and human.

How We Contribute

  • We partner with weeklong summer camps such as Grace Camps and Stitch in Time day camp.

  • Heart of Sumter assists in expanding youth literacy with Read to Grow free weekly tutoring at Lake Blackshear Library.

    Our volunteers also provide free weekly classes in English as a Second Language, offered to the community at no cost since 2023.

  • Heart of Sumter has awarded scholarships to local students participating in the Luxe Junior Miss Development Pageant.

  • Our organization offers an added touch to enhance the holidays, making Christmas special for children and families in need.
