About the event
Read To Grow
Building Confident Readers, One Story at a Time
Read To Grow is a community-based literacy program designed to help children strengthen their reading skills through encouragement, mentorship, and consistent practice. Volunteers work alongside students in a supportive environment to improve reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and confidence.
Research shows that children who develop strong reading skills early in life are more likely to succeed academically and graduate from high school. Through one-on-one and small-group reading sessions, Read To Grow helps children discover the joy of reading while building the foundation for lifelong learning.
Whether a child needs extra support or simply a caring mentor to read with, Read To Grow provides a welcoming place where every child can grow, learn, and thrive.
Focus Areas: Reading Fluency • Comprehension • Vocabulary • Confidence Building • Academic Success
